What You'll Do
- →You will serve as the Branch Manager for the Non-Destructive Evaluation Branch (M62) responsible for leading and supervising a workforce who provide Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) support.
- →You will develop and manage a strategic plan for current and future warfighter/sponsor NDE requirements ensuring alignment with Department and Command strategy.
- →You will oversee the management, analysis, evaluation, performance, and execution of all programs/projects.
- →You will provide financial and administrative leadership to accomplish program objectives through a thorough understanding of operational requirements.
- →You will make key financial and operational decisions that impact internal branch performance and external integration across the operational environment.
- →You will ensure the most capable, efficient, and cost effective systems are available to support readiness and meet needs.
- →You will be responsible for ensuring safety protocols are clearly defined and adhered to.
Requirements
- ✓Basic Education Requirements: For the 08XX, Professional Engineering Series: Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
- ✓Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
- ✓OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

- ✓OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
- ✓Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
- ✓For the 1301, General Physical Science Series: Successful completion of a bachelor's degree or higher in physical science, engineering, or mathematics that included 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science such as mechanics, dynamics, properties of materials, and electronics.
- ✓OR A combination of education and experience with education equivalent to one of the majors shown above that included at least 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
- ✓For the 1501, General Mathematics and Statistics Series: Successful completion of a bachelor's degree or higher in mathematics, statistics, or actuarial science.
- ✓The degree must be in a major field of study (at least at the baccalaureate level) that is appropriate for the position.
- ✓OR A combination of education and experience: Courses equivalent to a major field of study as shown in paragraph A above, plus additional education or appropriate experience.
