Incumbent serves as Senior Management and Program Analyst for the Health Care Identity Management (HC IdM) Program, in the Digital Health Office, for the Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration (VHA).
What You'll Do
- →Responsible for the data quality of identity traits and correlations via the VA Master Person Index (MPI) and the Integration Control Number (ICN) which is the unique identifier within the VA MPI database, this activity is critical as it directly relates to patient care and delivery of other benefits to Veterans and their beneficiaries.
- →The Senior Analyst advises and assists the Health Care Identity Management (HC IdM) team in the selection and application of appropriate problem solving methods and techniques, provides advice on work methods, practices, and procedures, and assists team in identifying the parameters of a viable solution.
- →Participates in interagency projects (e.g.
- →DoD, SSA,, VBA, MyHealtheVet, etc.) related to unique identity management, data sharing, accuracy and reporting.
- →Responsible to coordinate and collaborate with partner organizations and internal partners to resolve data quality and correlation issues with all systems that integrate with VA MPI.
- →This includes multiple systems within and outside VA, including the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA), DoD, SSA, and others.
- →Teams with other Senior Analysts within Data Quality Program to coordinate assignments and deadlines.
- →They will also collaborate with staff from partner stakeholders such as OI&T, MyHealtheVet, SSA, VBA, and DoD, in their work related to integration of systems and data.
- →Extensive research and analysis to determine appropriate resolution of Identity Theft and other complex identity management cases that require expert handling and expedience by our Senior Analysts.
- →These sorts of issues can result in not only misdirection of benefits but also impact the content and accuracy of the medical records for the identities involved.
- →The NC IdM Program customer may take any number of forms (clinician, developer, VBA professional, data entry staff, etc.).
- →It is paramount that the Senior Analyst be flexible in addressing and prioritizing the highest level of customer service.
- →Develop and deliver training and guidance to VA staff, development staff, and the Data Quality management team as well as various internal and external stakeholders and Line of Business owners (e.g.
- →VBA, DoD, OIT Development, etc) for the purpose of improving data quality, reducing errors in data entry and maintenance, and providing information related to identity management and data quality.
