About the Role
The incumbent serves as a Program Control Analyst, supporting the Governance and Integration Lead under the Digital GI Bill (DGIB) Program Lead. The Program Control Analyst incumbent is responsible for providing program support for risks, issues, quality, and schedules, contributing to the mission of the Service. The Program Control Analyst develops methodologies and tools to ensure proper controls are in place to increase efficiency and drive successful DGIB program implementations.
What You'll Do
- →Specific duties include: The incumbent is responsible for proactively analyzing current processes and recommending new opportunities to streamline DGIB PMO operations, including developing new processes and tools and identifying opportunities to automate existing processes.
- →The incumbent will work closely with the Governance and Integration Lead and impacted stakeholders to create new processes to identify, manage, and escalate risks, track and manage action items, review quality standards, metrics, and controls, and integrate the DGIB SAFe roadmap with the critical path of the Integrated Master Schedule.
- →The incumbent will also assist in establishing a more robust risk and issue culture through outreach and training to impacted areas.
- →The incumbent is responsible for management of the day-to-day program reporting, including progress, risks, mitigation strategies, action item tracking, and tracking other issues affecting the successful completion of business plans and milestones related to Education.
- →The incumbent will provide program management office (PMO) support to the Governance and Integration Lead, including the integration of PMO processes.
- →The incumbent will manage the risk management process, ensuring program risks, issues, and mitigations are identified, impact dates are known, risks/issues are appropriately escalated, and risks/issues are routinely tracked and managed.
- →The incumbent will also be responsible for proper communication and escalation of risks and issues to impacted organizations and leadership.
- →The incumbent will ensure strategic risks/issues are being examined both individually and collectively to determine trends and potential program risks.
- →The incumbent will also review quality management and ensure each quality measure has clear accountability.
- →The incumbent will be responsible for managing the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), ensuring program reviews are regularly conducted to ensure effective program execution.
- →Management of the IMS will also include ensuring the IMS has a critical path, includes internal and external dependencies, and all key activities and milestones are being tracked, including critical risks and issues.
- →The incumbent will identify opportunities to streamline the integration of the managed services vendor (MSV) roadmap and the IMS.
- →The incumbent will proactively identify and analyze critical trends and issues impacting the timing and sequence of key program events and milestones.
