Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations, El Paso Field Office, Mission Support Division, located in El Paso, Texas. Additional selections may be made to include other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.
What You'll Do
- →Joining Customs & Border Protection will allow you to use your expertise to provide management advice regarding the improvement and assessment of core processes and the implementation of programs and policies related to Workforce Management.
- →This position starts at a salary of $61,722.00 (GS-09, Step 1) to $97,087.00 (GS-11, Step 10) with promotion potential to $116,362.00 (GS-12, Step 10).
- →In this position, you will strengthen the Department's ability to perform homeland security functions by developing policies, conducting special studies, and providing technical assistance.
- →Typical work assignments include: Advising senior leadership on approaches to improve core business processes and operational efficiency within the field office.
- →Participating in the evaluation and redesign of organizational structures and workflows to meet changing mission requirements.
- →Recommending performance measures and tracking progress toward organizational goals to support decision-making.
- →Analyzing workforce data, including staffing levels and turnover rates, to inform recruitment strategies and resource allocation.
- →Administering employee recognition and appraisal programs, and coordinating with stakeholders to resolve personnel-related matters in accordance with established policies.
