What You'll Do

  • As a Management and Program Analyst (Wildland Fire) your duties will include but are not limited to the following: Applies analytical and evaluative methods to well precedented projects and assignments involving procedural or factual issues and readily observable conditions in support of wildland fire business and mission-support activities.
  • Responds to requests for information by preparing background summaries, compiling issue statements, and drafting sections of study plans or analyses for review.
  • Compiles, updates, and maintains recurring reporting products used to monitor program activity, workload, cost trends, and other indicators using established formats and definitions.
  • Maintains working relationships with internal staff and partners to support information exchange; refers unresolved issues to higher-level staff as appropriate.
  • Drafts or updates routine procedures, job aids, and reference materials based on approved changes to processes or reporting requirements; identifies unclear steps or control points and proposes edits for review.

  • PROOF OF EDUCATION: All applicants who are using education or a combination of education and experience to qualify must submit copies of official or unofficial transcripts which include grades, credit hours earned, major(s), grade point average or class ranking, institution name, and student name.
  • Unofficial transcripts are acceptable; however, if you are selected for the position, you will be required to produce the original official transcripts.
  • PASS/FAIL COURSES: If more than 10 percent of your undergraduate course work (credit hours) were taken on a pass/fail basis, your claim of superior academic achievement must be based upon class standing or membership in an honor society.
