Located in VA Headquarters, Office of the Deputy Under Secretary for Health (DUSH), VHA, this position provides administrative, analytical, operational, and technical expertise; coordinates high-impact projects and stakeholder communications; supports strategic initiatives; independently prioritizes assignments; and advises leadership on issues affecting outcomes.
What You'll Do
- →Major duties include but are not limited to: Provides executive and analytical support on administrative, policy, and operational program matters, including coordinating cross-functional activities, timelines, and leadership-assigned initiatives.
- →Conducts analyses of policies, procedures, operational requirements, and organizational impacts to support informed decision-making and alignment with organizational priorities.
- →Plans, organizes, and coordinates program plans, policy analyses, and legislative interpretations and develops recommendations to improve administrative practices, processes, and program operations.
- →Prepares briefings, analyses, correspondence, reports, and other executive-level materials and coordinates responses and work products for internal and external stakeholders.
- →Plans, executes, and evaluates special studies, projects, and high-priority assignments, establishing priorities, timelines, milestones, and deliverables and monitoring progress toward completion.
- →Conducts quantitative and qualitative analyses to evaluate program outcomes, performance measures, operational effectiveness, and compliance and develops recommendations for improvement.
- →Coordinates administrative and program-support activities, monitors workflows and program activities, identifies inefficiencies, and recommends improvements supporting continuity and effectiveness of operations.
- →Manages and coordinates administrative processes and activities, including travel, timekeeping, purchase-card actions, meetings, events, conferences, hearings, and other leadership or program requirements, ensuring actions are accurate, timely, properly documented, and compliant with applicable requirements.
- →Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met.
- →Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level.
- →Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 08:00-04:30pm Compressed/Flexible: Available Telework: May be eligible for ADHOC as determined by the agency policy.
- →Will be required to report to either a VA Facility, Agency/VA approved leased space, or any Federal building designated by VA.
- →Definition of Virtual Work: Employee works outside of original hiring duty station at a VA-owned or leased space.
- →Return to Office (RTO): RTO mandates are in effect and selectees will be required to report to in-person work unless they are approved for an exception or an exemption.
