This position is located in Pension and Fiduciary (P&F) Service. Pension and Fiduciary (P&F) Service administers the pension programs and fiduciary activities for compensation, dependency and indemnity compensation (DIC) and pension beneficiaries Department of Veteran's Affairs Veterans Benefits Administration. P&F Service is responsible for the development of policy, procedures, training, and oversight of the delivery of VA pension benefits and fiduciary activities worldwide.
What You'll Do
- →Specific duties include: Performs comprehensive program analysis and evaluation, taking into consideration factors such as cost effectiveness, attainment of program goals and objectives, and compliance with pertinent legal and regulatory guidelines.
- →Conducts formal and informal presentations, as required, to justify and defend programmatic aspects of mission critical programs.
- →Participates in the preparation and presentation of briefings to high-level officials regarding study results.
- →Provides management with new information and predictive advice concerning various alternative courses of action in resolving exceedingly complex problems Provides expert advice and guidance to managers on the interpretation of administrative actions, budget, human resources, etc Formulates and implements administrative management policies, procedures, operations, goals, and objectives.
- →Reviews all national level correspondence for Pension and Fiduciary Service.
- →This includes high-level, sensitive correspondence.
- →Responsible for the management and final development of all action items such as data calls, FOIA, IG and GAO requests, and congressional correspondence Prepares various recurring and special administrative reports.
- →Consolidates information into a usable format and prepares reports based on established regulatory procedures or logical assembly of data.
- →Reviews and manages executive staff inquiries and correspondence and assigns VIEWS to the appropriate P&F Service liaisons/Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and tracks completion of VIEWS for timely completion.
- →Assists in assigning P&F Service taskers through SharePoint by maintaining oversight of P&F Service mailbox.
- →Serves as subject matter expert on all timekeeping and GovTA related responsibilities and actions.
- →Serves as a purchase card holder for Pension and Fiduciary Service.
- →Performs onboarding responsibilities for newly hired Pension and Fiduciary Service employees to include obtaining systems access, and ensuring supplies and equipment are available upon a new employee's arrival.
- →Completes Personnel Identity Verification sponsorships for employees and are issued consistent with agency guidelines.
