The Smithsonian Institution is the world's largest museum, education, and research complex, with 21 museums and the National Zoo. This position is located in the Smithsonian Office of Protection Services (SOPS) which is responsible for the protection and security of all Smithsonian Institution facilities. OPS integrates and manages the work of all OPS security units across the Smithsonian, approximately 1200 staff and contractors, in a 24/7 operation.
What You'll Do
- →The Management and Program Analyst supports and enhances OPS security program operations by developing and evaluating security policies and procedures and recommending improvements to security programs associated with the Allied Security contract.
- →This position also consults and works with the Office of Contracting & Personal Property Management (OCON/PPM) to fulfill OPS contracting needs, requirements, and responsibilities.
- →In this position, you will: GS-12/GS-13 Analyze and evaluate on a quantitative/qualitative basis the effectiveness of security program operations in meeting established goals and objectives within OPS.
- →Develop, analyze, and evaluate new or modified security program/management policies, regulations, goals, or objectives.
- →Prepare and recommend administrative adjustments, process modifications and technical changes to enhance program operations, mitigate risk and improve results.
- →Coordinate, plan, schedule, and facilitate an array of meetings to consult and work with OCON to fulfill contracting needs, requirements and responsibilities.
