About the Role

This position is part of the Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer, Department of Energy. As a Management and Program Analyst, you will analyze and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency with which assigned DOE organizations and their components carry out their programs and functions and to develop information, advice, and recommendations for management to use in making decisions on the administrative and programmatic aspects of agency operations and management.

  • Veterans shape the future of energy As a Management and Program Analyst, you will: Perform complex analysis, evaluation, and advisory assignments to improve the overall effectiveness and efficiency of human capital programs, management systems, and business operations.
  • Serve as the Headquarters Security Officer (HSO), leading the implementation and compliance of personnel security policies, procedures, and practices across the organization.
  • Manage personnel security processes for employees and contractors, including badging, background investigations, security clearances, and foreign visitor access.
  • Ensure organizational adherence to facility access protocols and security regulations in coordination with appropriate authorities.
  • Track and evaluate developments, trends, and updates in security activities to maintain alignment with agency security standards.
  • Contribute as a key analyst within the Resource Management Division (RMD), supporting cross-functional administrative duties including financial, continuity of operations, and awards management.
