About the Role

This position is part of the Department of Energy's Office of Cybersecurity, Energy Security and Emergency Response. As a Management and Program Analyst, you will support the Incident Response Branch of the Threat Analysis and Incident Response Division. You will manage reports, deliver briefings on energy security, systems and markets, threats and incidents, and make recommendations to mitigate those vulnerabilities. You will also oversee programs and budgets for DOE National Laboratories.

  • Veterans shape the future of energy As a Management and Program Analyst, you will: Serve as a senior analyst and advisor to program office leadership, providing expert technical guidance, strategic alternatives, and evaluative recommendations on complex programs with office-wide or department-wide impacts.
  • Monitor, analyze, and oversee the preparation of situation reports, threat assessments, and mitigation strategies regarding cyber and physical incidents impacting national energy sector infrastructure.
  • Design, implement, and evaluate management information and administrative reporting systems, establishing data collection methodologies and metrics to measure program performance and efficiency.
  • Review and analyze federal legislation, executive orders, national strategies, and agency policies to determine their operational impacts on emergency response and security programs, translating findings into actionable internal guidelines.
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive briefings, risk updates, and technical summaries to senior agency leadership, interagency partners, state and local authorities, and private industry executives.
  • Lead program planning, project management, and budget development activities-particularly in coordination with National Laboratories to build and maintain critical incident response and threat analysis capabilities.
