About the Role

Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations, Mission Support Directorate, Office of the Executive Director, located in Washington, DC. Additional selections may be made to include other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.

What You'll Do

  • Joining Customs & Border Protection will allow you to use your expertise to analyze and advise management on a wide range of program activities which will impact the total Customs Agency.
  • Apply for this exciting opportunity to strengthen the Department's ability to perform homeland security functions by developing policies, conducting special studies, and providing technical assistance.
  • This position starts at a salary of $121,785.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $158,322.00 (GS-13, Step 10) Major Duties: Planning, conducting or participating in special studies or task forces providing assistance to headquarters and field offices.
  • Providing technical assistance and direct support to management staff in all matters relating to the application of planning systems and management programs to meet mission requirements.
  • Developing, implementing, and monitoring sophisticated management information systems that focus on long and short-range plans, policies and programs in the direction of goals, objectives, and priorities established by statutes, executive orders, the Department, or executive management.
  • Preparing comments and impact statements and recommendations on these issuances for executive and managerial consideration.
  • Representing the organization at meetings and conferences as directed by supervisor.

Requirements
