Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Information Technology, Enterprise Infrastructure and Operations Directorate located in: Ashburn, VA Lorton, VA Orlando, FL Additional selections may be made for other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.
What You'll Do
- →Joining Customs & Border Protection will allow you to use your expertise to analyze and advise management on a wide range of program activities which will impact the total Customs Agency.
- →Apply for this exciting opportunity to strengthen the Department's ability to perform homeland security functions by developing policies, conducting special studies, and providing technical assistance.
- →This position starts at a salary of $89,508.00 (GS-12, Step 1) to $116,362.00 (GS-12, Step 10) with promotion potential to $138,370 (GS-13 Step 10).
- →Salary: Salary listed reflects the rest of U.S. scale and, if applicable, will be adjusted to meet the locality pay or cost of living expenses of the duty location upon selection.

- →Major Duties: Assessing the effectiveness and efficiency of OIT program operations through the use of specialized analytical and evaluative methods and techniques.
- →Planning and conducting special studies, personally or through team members.
- →Providing advice to managers and develops and evaluates policies in assigned program areas.
- →Coordinating activities of office support staff, advising and providing analytical support on problem definition, planning methodologies, policies, and procedures.
- →Evaluating the content of new or modified legislation for projected impact upon DHS/CBP/OIT programs.
