Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations, Operations Directorate, located in Washington, D.C. Additional selections may be made to include other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.
What You'll Do
- →In this position you will serve as an analyst and/or program advisor to management on various functions and activities requiring application of qualitative and/or quantitative methods for assessment of management processes, systems and mission support programs.
- →This position starts at a salary of $85,447.00 (GS-11, Step 1) to $111,087.00 (GS-11, Step 10) with promotion potential to $111,087.00 (GS-11 Step 10).

- →Typical duties include: Providing technical assistance and direct support to headquarters and field management staff in a variety of matters relating to the application of planning systems and management programs to meet mission requirements.
- →Assisting in implementing, coordinating, and overseeing a variety of management programs.
- →Providing advice to supervisors and managers of headquarters functions, and develops, recommends and/or evaluates policies in assigned areas of responsibility.
- →Planning, developing and coordinating or assisting with planning management through briefings, presentations and conferences for supervisors and executive management; ensures accurate and appropriately concise information is available.
- →Reviewing, routing, and replying to requests for information that are sensitive and often bordering on "Secret" in nature from Congressional staff, the Department of Homeland Security, the Whitehouse, and other internal/external stakeholders.
- →Law Enforcement Operation Division (Field Liaison): The Law Enforcement Operations Division (LEOD) supports Field Offices across the nation by offering strategic guidance, maintaining consistent communication, facilitating timely and appropriate resource allocation, and ensuring accountability both to and from the field.
- →Emergency Response Division: The Emergency Response Division aims to enhance OFO's readiness by focusing on planning and preparedness efforts that ensure the continuity of mission-essential functions, fostering a resilient organization capable of responding to planned events and all-hazard incidents.
- →Enforcement Operations Branch: The Enforcement Operations Branch was created to enhance the planning and preparation of effective operations across various operational environments.
