Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Finance, Washington D.C. What You'll Do
- →This position is located within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Office of the Commissioner (OC), Office of Finance (OF), Financial Policy Division.
- →The Office of Finance secures and safeguards financial resources to enable CBP's mission.
- →This position starts at a salary of $143,913.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $187,093.00 (GS-14, Step 10) with promotion potential to $187,093 (GS-14 Step 10).
- →Typical duties include: Leading, researching and implementing existing and emerging finance-related policies and processes based on analysis of current and emerging issues, ensuring alignment with mission objectives.
- →Collaborating with Office of Finance staff and financial leadership to address operational needs while ensuring compliance with law, rules, and mandates from the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), DHS and the Department of Treasury.
- →Developing detailed plans and criteria for implementing and maintaining the CBP Conference Approval Program and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and policies.
- →Utilizing data analysis techniques and information systems to track and evaluate policies, procedures and conference data.
- →Responsible for implementing and monitoring systems to analyze and track data related to policies, standard operating procedures and conference activities.
