As a Management and Program Analyst, you will develop new, or recommend changes to, existing issuances and directive to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the program office.

What You'll Do

  • →The responsibilities described are for the full performance level.
  • →At developmental grade levels, assignments will be of more limited scope performed with less independence, and limited complexity.
  • →Supports the implementation and coordination of a variety of initiatives impacting the E-Verify, and Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) Programs.
  • →Supports the development and evaluation policies and recommends actions to achieve program objectives and improvements related to form reviews that support USCIS' humanitarian missions and other agency programs and initiatives.
  • →Participates in various studies, working groups, and testing of new business systems.
  • →Uses analytical techniques and statistics to assess issues related to management processes, systems or in support of programs.
  • →Supports division program and initiatives by developing and carrying out action plans in order to accomplish agency goals and objectives.
  • →Develops and evaluates policies in assigned areas of responsibility for management.
  • →Communicates both orally and in writing, to audiences of various sizes and from differing demographics.
  • →Supports the review of background information for studies, compiling statistical data from testing and evaluations.

Requirements

  • ✓Residency Requirement: There is a residency requirement for all applicants not currently employed by U.S.
  • ✓Citizenship and Immigration Services.
  • ✓This residency requirement states that candidates must have, for three of the last five years immediately prior to applying for this position; (1) resided in the United States; OR (2) worked for the United States Government as an employee overseas in a Federal or Military capacity, OR (3) been a dependent of a U.S.
  • ✓Federal or Military employee serving overseas.
  • ✓Probationary Period: You may be required to serve a probationary period of 1 year.
  • ✓EDUCATIONAL SUBSTITUTION: There is no educational substitution at the GS-12 grade level.
  • ✓COMBINING QUALIFYING EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION (at the GS-11 level only): If you do not qualify based on experience or education alone, you may be able to qualify based on a combination of your experience and education.
