The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as a AFRBA Case Analyst, by providing case analysis to the Air Force Review Boards Agency (AFRBA), Case Resolution Directorate. To serve as a primary subject matter expert for the 10 statutorily directed boards conducted on behalf of the Secretary of the Air Force (SECAF) and two on behalf of the Secretary of Defense.
What You'll Do
- →Serves as a Case Analyst for the Air Force Review Boards Agency (AFRBA).
- →Applies an extensive knowledge of military personnel policies, procedures, and regulations to serve as a subject matter expert on the adjudication of military records corrections.
- →Conducts comprehensive analyses of complex case files, which include military personnel records, court-martial transcripts, medical records, Department of Veterans Affairs documentation, and evidence submitted by the applicant or their counsel.
- →Serves as a program analyst and reviewer across the boards and councils of the Air Force Review Boards Agency (AFRBA), Assistant Secretary of the Air Force, Manpower and Reserve Affairs.
- →Adhere to the full body of relevant U.S.
- →Code and Department of War and Air Force Instructions.
- →Implements the multiple adjudicative complexities and rule sets associated with military records correction, discharge characterizations, disability determinations, clemency provisions, and liberal consideration policies.
- →Communicates orally, in writing, or face-to-face with intra/inter- agency officials at all echelons regarding analytical findings to resolve adjudicative issues and ensure due process.
- →Maintains liaison with Federal, Department of War, U.S. confinement facilities, U.S.
- →Parole Commission, U.S.
- →Probation Offices, Air Force Court of Criminal Appeals, Office of the Judge Advocate General, Congressional Offices, and other Federal agencies for the purpose of verifying and obtaining information on Federal and military policy and procedures.
