This position is in the VA Regional Office (VARO), reports to the Assistant Veterans Service Center Manager (AVSCM), and actively participates in all aspects of division and/or Regional Office leadership. The primary purpose of this position is to provide objective information to support decision-making regarding administrative operations and management.
What You'll Do
- →The role includes conducting analytical, planning, training, evaluative, budgetary, and advisory tasks, in addition to providing administrative support, managing fiscal operations, and some human resources management.
- →Major duties include, but are not limited to: Developing and employing advanced qualitative and quantitative techniques to analyze and measure the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of organizational programs.
- →Compiling, developing, and organizing narrative and statistical information using general advanced methods, techniques, and precedents requiring considerable adaptation and/or interpretation for application to administrative functions.
- →Developing recommendations for program officials and supervisors that is complete and accepted by operating components.
- →The incumbent develops new or modified work methods, systems variations, and evaluates administrative operations that promote efficiency and cost savings.
- →Recommends and submits organizational change guidance, procedures, and documents.
- →Reviews, implements, assess, and improve training requirements for assigned VA employees.
- →Providing higher management with reports, evaluated information, budgetary proposals, and similar products necessary for effective direction of administrative operations.
- →Participates in discussions, meetings, conferences and conference calls with agency administrators, senior subject matter and technical personnel, and other federal agency officials to secure and investigate facts; present conclusions, recommendations, and alternatives; obtain concurrence; develop alternate courses of actions; and mutually resolve problems.
- →Preparing for division leadership review and signature, assorted memorandums, letters, division bulletins, and other written communications.
- →Tracks Division progress with respect to goals and facilitates work or program reviews to improve Division results; prepares for the division leadership review and signature, assorted memorandums, letters, division bulletins, and other written communications.
- →Handles correspondence and is privy to sensitive employee and labor relations issues such as grievance responses, and disciplinary/performance action drafts and files.
- →Acts with extreme confidentiality and discretion when dealing with highly sensitive employee and labor relation matters for example, disciplinary actions and management strategy.
- →Interprets findings resulting from studies that are independently developed.
Requirements
