This position is located at the Department of Veterans Affairs Regional Office, Benefit Eligibility Support Team (BEST). The primary purpose of this role is to assist the BEST team and staff by advising on the effectiveness and efficiency of their programs and functions.
What You'll Do
- →The Management Analyst is responsible for providing qualitative and quantitative assessments of the wide range of division operations.
- →Specific duties include: Coordinate and prepare responses to request input such as workload projection.
- →Develops and writes reports for the BEST Manager and Assistant BEST Manager, including recommendations for improvements to ensure effective operations.
- →Perform studies and analyses of management functions to improve management of the division, budget, and day-to-day operations.
- →Prepare production reports using data available for the purpose of analyzing trends which could lead to out-of-control situations affecting the division as a whole.
- →Serve as a liaison and coordinate and facilitate initiatives requiring inter-team cooperation and action.
- →Coordinate and schedule the review of polices and directives to ensure their accuracy and conformity and currency.
- →Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met.
- →Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level.
- →The grade progression for this position is GS-9 and GS-11.
- →Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:15 am-2:45 pm Telework: Yes - This position is eligible for situational (ad hoc) telework only.
- →The selectee is required to report to the official duty station each scheduled workday.
- →Telework may be approved only on a case-by-case basis with supervisory approval.
- →Routine or recurring telework is not authorized for this position.
Requirements
