About the Position: The U.S. Military Entrance Processing Command, headquartered in North Chicago, IL, is a jointly staffed command, staffed by representatives of all branches of the Armed Forces. The command, through its 66 military processing locations (Military Entrance Processing Stations (MEPS)/Remote Processing Stations (RPS)), determines whether applicants are qualified for enlistment based on standards set by each of the services. Position will be filled on a permanent basis.
What You'll Do
- →Provide standardized policy guidance to USMEPCOM processing locations regarding aptitude testing and administrative processing to support the military accession workflow.
- →Review and monitor processes, and maintain internal controls to clarify, track, and resolve complex issues affecting the USMEPCOM accession mission.
- →Respond to, track, and monitor taskers and implement messages from Headquarters to ensure timely execution and compliance.
- →Formulate reports and conduct trend analysis to track responses, maintain internal controls, and ensure the successful resolution of taskers and field issues.
- →Evaluate and monitor accession-related procedures and programs to ensure continuous operational efficiency and system effectiveness.
- →Serve as a primary liaison collaborating with joint service military and civilian staff across USMEPCOM processing locations, Sector, and Headquarters to coordinate applicant processing operations.
- →Identify operational trends to develop, arrange, and deliver training programs for processing location personnel on standardized policies, systems, and procedures.
- →Troubleshoot and resolve system access and functionality issues utilizing knowledge of collaboration tools, help desk programs, and the USMIRS system.
- →Develop and implement training and education performance standards to evaluate and improve processing location effectiveness.
- →Manage aptitude testing requirements and resolve associated functional issues within the Testing, Processing, and Medical areas.
- →Resolve internal and external help desk tickets by communicating with processing locations to address medical, testing, and general system concerns.
