THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a Management Analyst (CIF Supervisor), Position Description Number D1913000 and is part of the USPFO Supply & Services Division (S &S) Central Issue Facility of the Vermont Army National Guard.
What You'll Do
- →The purpose of the position is to serve as a management analyst in the USPFO and direct Central Issue Facility (CIF) stock record operations using the Standard Army Management Information System software and locally devised management programs IAW law and regulations.
- →Provides management analysis regarding logistical and/or fiscal accountability for the equipment and resources assigned to the USPFO and CIF and performs a variety of review assignments involved in developing, analyzing, evaluating, and/or in providing management assessments.
- →DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1.
- →Reviews organizational information regarding inventory management, storage management, equipment coordination fiscal and supply management utilizing inspection reports, applicable Department of Army (DA) regulations, and activity mission statements to identify tentative sub-objectives or firm objectives regarding stock record operations. 2.
- →Performs management studies of organization's auditable entity to identify potential problems such as reviewing operating procedures and management practices of the activity.
- →Prepares audit lead sheets to identify potential weaknesses in internal controls. 3.
- →Conducts troubleshooting and management studies to ascertain the need for changes in existing management systems or methods of operation such as work processes, functional responsibility, operating techniques, organizational structure and other factors effecting the efficient and economical use of available resources. 4.
- →Assignments involve several specialized areas of management such as organizational analysis, work methods and standards, procedure analysis, and management statistics. 5.
- →Participates in providing management consulting services on all aspects of improving management operations for the state. 6.
- →Provides liaison assistance, as required, to external organizations with responsibility for coordinating their activities with the USPFO.
- →Performs follow-up assignments on agreed upon review findings, recommendations, and monetary benefits made during previous audits engagements.
- →Reports to the Supervisor on the status of corrective actions taken by functional activities. 7.
- →Accomplishes management studies by applying best business practices and basic audit techniques to gather, document, and summarize data.
- →Prepares working papers and files to document management studies. 8.
