About the Role
This position is located on Forest Service Job Corp Civilian Conservation Center. The incumbent is responsible for performing a variety of general maintenance duties for the Center. The incumbent will also assist with the planning and execution of the Center's maintenance management plan. See Additional Information section for who to contact about the duties of this position.
What You'll Do
- →Perform building maintenance repairs (e.g., electrical, plumbing, carpentry, heating and cooling, painting, etc.) and minor construction activities.
- →Identify and perform routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance.
- →Apply fertilizer, herbicides, and pesticides.
- →Read, and apply specific instructions, work orders, specific installation instructions, schematic drawings or blueprints.
- →Use of hand tools and variety of test equipment.
Requirements
- ✓Must be a U.S.
- ✓Citizen or National.
- ✓Males born after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt.
- ✓Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
- ✓Per Public Law 104-134 all Federal employees are required to have federal payments made by direct deposit to their financial institution.
