What You'll Do
- →You will make repairs to stucco and plaster surfaces by removing damaged portions of structures, mixing and spreading mortar so that required portion matches undamaged portion of structure.
- →You will prepare a variety of surfaces for painting, such as plaster, wood, dry wall, metal or other compositions, by removing such things as scale, rust dirt, and grease, and “pickling” galvanized surfaces.
- →You will Diagnose defects in various domestic heating, hot water, and steam boiler systems.
- →You will Repair and replace components for burners, furnaces, valves, and system controls.
- →You will troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, using the appropriate test equipment, schematic diagrams, print, sketches and verbal instructions.
- →You will make standard repairs to plastic, copper, and galvanized water supply systems; will cut, bend, and thread pipe as necessary, hook up and install such things as water heaters, garbage disposal units, dishwashers, using spouts, etc.
- →You will fabricate a variety of sheet metal components, developments, parts, and / or replace that predominately have a straight edge and /or regular curves.
- →You will disassemble machinery equipment, replace or repair parts, realign, gears, wheels, axles, shafting and bearing or similar parts.
