About the Role
About the Position: This is a Planned Management Action open to current USACE, New England District Logistics employees due to organizational workload changes and evolving mission. Position(s) will be filled at the GS-09 or GS-011 grade level.
What You'll Do
- →Duties described reflect the full performance GS-11 level: Establish accountable property management policy through the interpretation and implementation of directives from higher headquarters.
- →Maintain District accountability for property books covering government-owned and vendor-owned assets.
- →Administer property accountability from initial issue through final disposition or transfer to another accountable officer.
- →Lead the preparation, review, and processing of Purchase Requests and Commitments.
- →Confirm availability of funds and validate cost estimates for Purchase Requests and Commitments.
- →Track unliquidated obligations to close out commitments and de-obligate excess funds.
- →Represent supported customers at meetings and conferences on matters relating to personal property management.
- →Provide authoritative guidance to the Approving Authority on inventory processes and reconciliation procedures.
- →Explain the benefits of proposals and weaknesses of existing procedures to stakeholders.
- →Oversee all cyclic, annual, biennial, and special inventories.
- →Conduct 100 percent physical verification of non-expendable property not issued on hand receipt.
- →Conduct field inspections to assess accounting requirements and evaluate unserviceable or excess property.
