About the Role
About the Position: This position is part of the Reemployed Annuitants Cadre, in support of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). On an as-needed basis, employees occupying these positions provide emergency support to disaster-stricken areas throughout the United States. This is a temporary appointment not to exceed 1-year. At management's discretion, the appointment may be extended for up to a maximum of 3-years or converted to a term appointment for up to a maximum of 6-years.
What You'll Do
- →Serve as a Logistics Management Specialist and advisor on the staff of the Program Director working under general administrative direction.
- →Implement detailed local policies within the parameters of the policies, regulations and directives of the RAO, higher headquarters, and applicable Public Laws.
- →Develop local transportation and traffic management policies and procedures in implementing higher echelon regulations and policies.
- →Develop local supply policies and procedures to assure local implementation of higher echelon regulations concerning supply discipline.
- →Maintain surveillance over emergency contract mission operations involving one or more contractors.
- →Perform a variety of clerical and administrative duties which are auxiliary to the Response/Recovery work.
- →Prepare for all briefings required by the office, including assembling data in a logical format and ensuring the data is the most up-to date.
- →Prepare FEMA damage survey reports.
