About the Role
THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION This National Guard position is for a Logistics Management Specialist, Position Description Number D2058000 and is located in the Army Aviation Support Facility (AASF #1), Winder, GA. This is a full-time, Excepted Permanent, dual status position which requires Georgia Army National Guard Membership. Area of Consideration: Current on-board members of the Georgia Army National Guard.
What You'll Do
- →As a Logistics Management Specialist, GS-0346-11, you will: Develop, implement and evaluate the logistics and property accountability plans and policies for the organization.
- →Serve as the subject matter expert for the command in the area of logistics.
- →Provide oversight to property book operations.
- →Analyze and coordinate information and requirements with other command levels/sections in the area of supply and equipment readiness for the organizational readiness report.
- →Review, analyze, and develop plans to optimize the impact of future authorization documents and/or force structure changes and the impact on organizational readiness.
- →Communicate and coordinate with proponent agencies with recommendations for improvement and implementation of new equipment/concepts to the authorization document.
- →Analyze and plan for the implementation of new policy statements, regulations and directives issued by higher headquarters concerning logistics and property accountability activities.
- →Develop and coordinate the execution of the command supply discipline program, command maintenance discipline program, and other directed command inspection programs.
- →Assist in the preparation for additional command level inspections in the area of logistics and maintenance.
- →Plan and coordinate periodic inspections, inventories and change of hand receipt accounts to assure supplies are serviceable, properly stored, maintained and accounted for as required by regulatory authority.
- →Advise the commander of equipment on hand and equipment readiness issues.
- →Analyze maintenance status and direct the priority of maintenance effort for organizational equipment.
- →Based on the commander's intent, conducts continuing analysis of missions, deployments, and changes to equipment authorizations resulting in coordination and development of property management plans.
- →May supervise and maintain property book accountability utilizing an automated system and related computer programs to account for property.
Requirements
- ✓If you are using Education to qualify for this position: Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree, in an accredited college or university, meets the GS-5 level requirements.
- ✓You must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your Educational claims.
- ✓To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.
