This position is part of the Department of Defense (DoD), Missile Defense Agency (MDA). The incumbent will be responsible for: Assist with the direction, development, and performance of multi-functional logistics management operations that include planning, coordinating and evaluating the logistics actions required to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) goals and mission.
What You'll Do
- →As a Logistics Management Specialist at the NH-0346-2 broadband level, some of your typical work assignments may include: Help identify the specific requirements for money, manpower, materiel, facilities, and services required to support the Program Manager's (PM) cost, schedule and performance objectives.
- →Assist with correlating PM objectives with Program plans to assure required logistics support is provided at the right time and place.
- →Help coordinate and evaluate logistics support to identify and execute specific requirements, identify and mitigate risk, and develop and adjust plans and schedules for the actions required to meet each requirement on time.
- →Coordinate with higher level specialists to jointly research and help develop readiness and logistics plans, strategies, and procedures focused on delivering a MDS capabilities that are effective, efficient, and supportable to meet operational requirements.
- →This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Acq Demo Business and Technical Management to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
Requirements
- ✓Education maybe substituted for experience at the NH-02/GS-05 level.

- ✓UNDERGRADUATE EDUCATION: Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree, in an accredited college or university, meets the GS-5 level requirements for many positions covered by this standard.
- ✓Others have individual occupational requirements that specify that applicants must, in general, (1) have specific course work that meets the requirements for a major in a particular field(s), or (2) have at least 24 semester hours of course work in the field(s) identified.
- ✓Course work in fields closely related to those specified may be accepted if it clearly provides applicants with the background of knowledge and skills necessary for successful job performance.
- ✓One year of full-time undergraduate study is defined as 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours.
