About the Role

Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol, USBP Headquarters, Mission Support Directorate, Logistics Management Division. Location Negotiable After Selection must be able to work from a CBP facility Additional selections may be made to include other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.

What You'll Do

  • This position serves as a senior logistician; and is responsible for planning and coordinating logistics and support activities to integrate logistics support to address all aspects of supportability throughout the operational life cycle of all systems for achieving U.S.
  • Border Patrol's objectives.
  • This position starts at a salary of $106,437.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $138,370.00 (GS-13, Step 10).
  • Salary: Salary listed reflects the rest of U.S. scale and, if applicable, will be adjusted to meet the locality pay or cost of living expenses of the duty location upon selection.
  • In this Logistics Management Specialist position, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating logistics and support activities to integrate logistics support.
  • Typical work assignments include: Overseeing the full life cycle management of critical assets, including procurement, distribution, maintenance, utilization, and disposal, ensuring accountability throughout all phases.
  • Analyzing and reporting on asset readiness by tracking metrics such as availability, reliability, maintainability, and assignment levels to identify trends, deficiencies, and recommend solutions.
  • Maintaining logistics governance and standard operating procedures for storage, handling, and maintenance of assets to ensure compliance with DHS, CBP, and USBP directives.
  • Managing comprehensive databases and inventories to track support requirements and equipment assets, supporting data-driven decision-making for operational planning and resource allocation.
