You will serve as a LIFTING AND HANDLING SUPERINTENDENT in the RIGGING AND OPERATIONS DIVISION (CODE 740), LIFTING AND HANDLING DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.
What You'll Do
- →You will be responsible for directing, planning, and coordinating the business and industrial operations of the Rigging and Equipment Operations Division.
- →You will serve as the shipyard's authority on the operational planning, scheduling, and resourcing allocations for all types of industrial rigging, weight handling, crane operations, and diving services.
- →You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare long-range division schedules, ensuring that organizational goals align with overarching shipyard production milestones.
- →You will be responsible for analyzing, evaluating, and directing the division’s comprehensive manpower resources, heavy equipment, maritime facilities, and material assets.
- →You will serve as the division’s leading authority in labor-management relations and long-term workforce stabilization efforts.
