About the Role
The Kansas City VA Medical Center is recruiting for one Licensed Practical Nurses to join the Primary Care Employee Occupational Health team, located in Kansas City, MO.
What You'll Do
- →Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional Major Duties include, but are not limited to: Functioning at the top of his or her license.
- →Observing, recording, and reporting changes in the patient's condition.
- →Assisting in the development and revision of the patient-driven holistic life care plan.
- →Communicating and interacting appropriately and courteously with internal and external customers.
- →Maintaining confidentiality of patient / employee information electronically, verbally, and written.
- →Working and functioning within a safe manner including infection control and operation of equipment.
- →Integrating and applying pertinent aspects of the Medical Center performance improvement program into his/her professional practice.
- →Utilizing nursing research, evidence-based practice, and literature in daily practice.
- →Providing care appropriate to the bio-psychosocial needs of the population served.
- →Possessing an understanding of the changes associated with aging and principles of growth and development relevant to the adult and geriatric population.
- →Assessing and interpreting data relating to the patient's current health status, which will facilitate the delivery of care appropriate to the age specific needs of the adult and geriatric patient.
- →Providing culturally competent care to a diverse patient population.
- →Ensuring qualifications and required certifications are maintained, including Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), or Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification.
- →Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm Recruitment Incentive (Sign-on Bonus): Not Authorized Permanent Change of Station (Relocation Assistance): Not Authorized Pay: Competitive salary and regular salary increases.
