What You'll Do
- →Serves as a Legal Assistant in the United States Attorney's Office (USAO), Northern District of California within the area of Grand Jury.
- →The incumbent uses comprehensive knowledge of the laws, regulations, procedures, and Department of Justice requirements for Grand Jury activities and case processing.
- →Typical work assignments will include: Coordinating Grand Jury activities, supporting the operation of the Grand Jury Tracking System and related systems, and ensuring proper handling of Grand Jury materials and federal tax information.
- →Supporting Assistant U.S.
- →Attorneys in complex grand jury matters by researching and reviewing laws and specialized rules regarding grand jury proceedings and empanelment to determine factual issues that may impact grand jury activities as needed. - Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.
- →Each grade has 10 step rates and GS employees are usually hired at step one of the applicable GS grade level at which the applicant qualified.
- →The salary range for a GS-7 in San Francisco, California is $63,081.00 - $82,007.00 (step 1 through step 10).
- →The salary range for a GS-8 in San Francisco, California is $69.860.00 - $90.814.00 (step 1 through step 10).
- →The full performance level of this position is GS-8.
