About the Role

This Lead Program Analyst is in the Office of Field Operations (OFO), Records Acquisition & Research, Classified Research Operations team, and reports to the Supervisory Program Analyst. Classified Operations team members are accountable for the day-to-day administration of activities related to the formulation, development, recommendation, promulgation, and implementation of military records research unit for the purpose of reconstructing activities and events of units.

What You'll Do

  • Specific duties include: Lead in the oversight of the team that supports research operations and conducts non-classified and classified research at federal archive facilities in support of exposure and combat stressor incidents for all branches of the Armed Forces.
  • Assist the Chief with regular management of onsite research operations at federal archive facilities in the D.C. area and travels to out based archive facilities as needed.
  • Develop and interpret policies, devising alternatives, and adopting procedures necessary to allow management to implement program decisions or changes.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of programs and operations based on a qualitative and quantitative analysis and ensure that established goals and objectives are met.
  • Research customer service practices, evaluates performance in meeting customer service standards, and makes recommendations for improving service delivery plan strategies, activities, or other initiatives to increase customer satisfaction.
  • Draft training documentation, briefing presentations (including PowerPoint slides and talking points for leadership), BLUFs, white papers, memoranda of understanding (MOUs), and briefing papers; and prepare responses to Congressional and external stakeholder inquiries.
  • Manage multiple projects or programs concurrently where effort involves coordination among multiple resources, other divisions, or agents outside of the organization.
  • Conduct investigations of evidence involved in resolving appealed cases and special interest cases involving issues of both sensitive or of a high-profile nature while advising leadership on the national or local impact of changes in process, protocol, or legal statues, which may impact or shapes the future direction of the organization.
  • Report to the supervisor, any team and individual work accomplishments, problems, progress in mastering tasks and work processes, and individual and team training needs.
  • Exchange and communicate complex information, coordinate, and advises on work efforts and projects, coordinate with team members and peers, in order to meet deadlines and satisfy both internal and external requirements.
  • Monitor the teams priorities and assigns work based on the availability of resources, workload, demand, nature, and difficulty of additional projects.

  • Work Schedule: Full time, Monday through Friday, 8am-4:30pm EST Compressed/Flexible: Available Telework: Available, Ad-Hoc only.
