About the Role
The Nuclear Medicine Lead Technologist will assist the Supervisory Nuclear Medicine Technologist in the operation of NMS, and the coordination and performance of a group of Nuclear Medicine Technologists working in the Nuclear Medicine Department and Hot Lab. This position is located at the Audie L. Murphy VAMC in San Antonio, Texas within Diagnostic Imaging Service.
What You'll Do
- →Record appropriate data and related information on the proper patient worksheet and images. -Perform required technical procedures for safe receipt, handling, transport, usage, and disposal of radioactive materials, assuring compliance with Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), National Health Physics Program (NHPP), Department of Transportation (DOT) and license conditions.
- →Restructure work assignments if necessary to maintain proper coverage. -Reviews weekly isotope usage and billing for adherence to contract specifications.
- →Work Schedule: Rotating shifts, Monday-Friday 6:30a.m. to 3:00p.m., 7:00a.m. to 3:30p.m., 7:30a.m. to 4:00p.m., rotating call Telework: Not Available Virtual: This is not a virtual position.

Requirements
