This position is located with USDA Forest Service, Business Operations, Acquisition Management, Grants and Agreements Staff. This position as a Grants Management Policy Specialist responsible for researching and analyzing policies, drafting and revising Handbook and Manual direction, evaluating policy impacts, and presenting findings to leadership. What You'll Do
- →Performs grants and agreements policy and oversight, analyzes and evaluates GA matters.
- →Provides definitive advice and guidance on GA matters to project managers and Grants Management Specialists.
- →Provides advice and guidance on AQM systems implementations, upgrades, and implementation of business process changes with AQM systems.
- →Analyzes the certification process, reviews and recommends certification of Grants Management Specialists, and writes policy in accordance with certification requirements and programming.
- →Serves as liaison between the Agency and US Department of Agriculture, and between the Washington Office and the field.
- →Participates in financial audits, Office of the Inspector General audits, and other external reviews.
- →Supports internal process reviews of GA activities as a review team member or policy expert.
- →Training includes in-person, webinars and asynchronous training platforms.
- →Supports various initiatives relating to GA administration across the agency in different Deputy Chief areas.
- →Serves on and/or leads interdepartmental or interagency GA policy task groups and subcommittees.
Requirements
- ✓Must be a U.S.
- ✓Citizen or National.
- ✓Males born after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt.
- ✓Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
