This position is located in the Washington Headquarters Services (WHS), Facilities Services Directorate (FSD), Facilities Operations and Services Division (FOSD). The incumbent serves as the Lead Special Events and Space Use Coordinator, responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing high-profile events and space use activities across the Pentagon Reservation, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, policies, and operational requirements.
What You'll Do
- →Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: Serves as the Team Lead for the Facilities Service Group Special Events Program, ensuring direct assistance is provided to customers requesting permits, meeting spaces, or other events.
- →Ensures all aspects of Special Events are organized, coordinated, and monitored in accordance with existing laws and regulations, and maintains effective liaison between customers and other required agencies.
- →Provides assistance and information to various agencies, including the White House and Secret Service, regarding facility use; assists customers with event publicity, and schedules/reserves facilities and services.
- →Articulates and communicates project assignments, deadlines, and time frames to the team; coaches the team on problem-solving methods and provides advice on work procedures.
- →Leads the team in identifying, distributing, and balancing workloads and tasks among employees in accordance with established workflow and priorities.
