About the Role
This position is being filled under the Direct Hire Authority for Certain Personnel of the Department of Defense using hiring authority in 5 USC 9905. Veterans Preference: Veterans preference does not apply under this Direct-Hire Authority (DHA). This position is located in Defense Information Systems Agency, Procurement Services Division at Scott Air Force Base.
What You'll Do
- →Provides oversight of proposed complex contractual actions with up to unlimited Contracting Officer authority.
- →Leads team to integrate the organization's strategic plan, mission, vision, values, and goals in daily work processes.
- →Ensures adequacy of acquisition planning, competition in contracting, price/cost analysis, and small business utilization.
- →Administers sophisticated contractual techniques such as complex contract structures with incentives and cost sharing arrangements.
- →Assures standards are maintained and laws, policies, procedures, and regulations are adhered to.
Requirements
- ✓There is no substitution of education for specialized experience at the GS-13 grade level To be creditable, education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university.
- ✓You must report only attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions that are recognized by the U.S.
- ✓Department of Education Foreign Education: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services at the time of application.
