The Laundry Leader performs leader duties for approximately 60% of the time; and works as a Laundry Machine Operator and Laundry Worker for the remaining 40% of the time.
What You'll Do
- →As the Laundry Leader, the incumbent's duties include, but are not limited to: Ensure all incoming laundry is weighed and recorded, and laundry receipts follow the laundry bag through each step.
- →Make routine decisions and answer employees' questions regarding work procedures and machine operations.
- →Pass work instructions from supervisor to employee.
- →Assign immediate tasks to assure work is started and properly completed.
- →Demonstrate proper techniques and safe practices to laundry employees.
- →Check work in progress to ensure production needs are being met and proper procedures are being applied.
- →Operate all laundry equipment, i.e. commercial washers, dryers, spreader-feeder, and folders.
- →Lead and instruct employees on the proper use of equipment and linen handling methods.
- →Work Schedule: 5:45 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
