This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for DHA Certain Personnel Workforce for DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This is a Landscape Architect, GS-0807-12 position with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Northwestern Division (NWD), Omaha District, Engineering Division.
What You'll Do
- →As a Landscape Architect, you will: Conduct field reconnaissance surveys of proposed sites to obtain information concerning site factors of topography, terrain, suitability of location with respect to other facilities.
- →Provide technical orientation, management and review of military master planning and environmental studies performed under service contracts by Architect-Engineer firms.
- →Furnish technical review and evaluation of site, layout, landscape, and lawn irrigation designs that are prepared and submitted by Architect-Engineer firms.
- →Act as landscape and land management specialist and advisor to military installations for the purpose of erosion control, re-vegetation reclamation programs, selection of plant materials, planting methods, and maintenance programs.
