This position is established in the Division of Operations Management and reports directly to the Regional Director or their designee. The purpose of this position is to serve as a Senior Field Examiner responsible for handling complex, high profile unfair labor practice charges and representation cases at all stages of case processing, and/or other difficult assignments for the staff assigned.
What You'll Do
- →As a Labor Management Relations Examiner (Senior Field Examiner), GS-0244-14, your typical work assignments may include: Serving as the senior field examiner and expert in unfair labor practice investigations and representation cases for the Region.
- →Handling cases with novel issues, without precedent, and/or requiring considerable interpretation of law, and a high degree of original and creative legal endeavor.
- →Communicating to the staff issues to be solved, actionable events, and milestones, and assisting with adherence to deadlines and time frames for completion.
- →At the direction of the Regional Director or their designee, editing written documents before submission to management officials.
- →Handling representation cases involving the initial processing of petitions, conducting representation hearings and drafting both pre- and post-election decisions.
