This job opportunity is for an ITSPEC (INFOSEC/NETWORK), position description D2339000, within the 108th Operations Group of the New Jersey National Guard. This vacancy announcement is a Title 32, Excepted Service position. The purpose of this position is to serve as a Defensive Cyberspace Operator on a Cyberspace Protection Team (CPT), leveraging a high level of expertise for the preparation and execution of tasked missions.
Requirements
- ✓PERMANENT POSITION WITH Target Grade - GS-12, Target Grade PD - D2338000 Areas of Consideration: CAT 4: Individuals eligible for membership in the New Jersey National Guard Military Grades: E-4/SrA to E-7/ MSgt Compatible Military Assignments: 1D7XXX Selected applicant must have the ability to obtain 1B4 AFSC within 1 year of appointment.
- ✓Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement.
- ✓This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard.
- ✓Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership.

- ✓(Guidance established by NJ HRO-J1) Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience: Ph.D. or equivalent, or 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree.
- ✓The degree must be in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree and provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
- ✓PERMANENT POSITION WITH Target Grade - GS-12, Target Grade PD - D2338000 Selectee for this position may be awarded a recruitment Incentive paid by the agency of up to 10% with a completed service agreement.
