This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Office of the Chief Information Officer in Washington, D.C. The position serves as a senior technical expert responsible for cloud engineering, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine-learning engineering, secure platform design, and responsible-AI implementation supporting SBA mission systems and modernization priorities.
What You'll Do
- →As a/an IT Specialist (Senior Cloud AI Engineer) at theGS- 2210-14, some of your typical work assignments may include: Develop technical standards, reference architecture, implementation patterns, responsible-AI guardrails, and reusable engineering playbooks for cloud-hosted AI and machine-learning workloads.
- →Develop target-state architectures for cloud-hosted AI workloads, including data pipelines, APIs, model development environments, inference services, containerized applications, and supporting infrastructure.
- →Lead or support pilots, proofs-of-concept, and engineering assessments of emerging cloud and AI technologies, and recommend adoption, refinement, or discontinuation based on mission value, security, and implementation risk.
- →Communicate complex technical concepts, risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations in terms understandable to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
