This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Office of the Chief Information Officer in Washington, D.C. This position is the agency's senior non-supervisory authority for enterprise build, integration, and operational engineering, responsible for how SBA's most complex network, systems, cloud, and platform solutions are engineered, integrated, automated, and sustained.
What You'll Do
- →As an IT Specialist (Principal IT Solutions Engineer) at the GS- 2210-15, some of your typical work assignments may include: Develops new engineering approaches, standards, and methods for AI-enabled operations, multi-cloud automation, and zero-trust enforcement engineering that set precedent for SBA and peer agencies.
- →Advises acquisition and program officials on technical requirements, Statements of Work, cost estimates, source-selection factors, and architecture-compliance reviews.
- →Prepares and delivers briefings, white papers, and decision memoranda to senior executives and oversight bodies on engineering posture, modernization progress, operational risk, and investment outcomes.
Requirements
