THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN) TITLE 5 PERMANENT, Position Description Number T0024P01 and is part of the NH ARNG DCSIM, National Guard. This vacancy is to gather applications that may or may not result in a referral or selection.
What You'll Do
- →The primary purpose of this position is to provide management oversight and guidance on information technology projects.
- →Serves as primary point of contact for all project teams regarding on-going technical projects.
- →Assists in IM/IT portfolio project management, integration, coordination and planning.
- →Implements corporate decisions, guidance, laws, regulations, and policy in the development of the projects and intermediate products in support of the mission.
- →Negotiates and integrates across all functional components (i.e., planning, design, implementation, contracting, etc.), customer needs, regulatory requirements and other agencies' commitments in support of assigned IM/IT projects.
- →Within this portfolio, integrates IM/IT project scope and criteria, schedules and milestones, budgets, and responsibilities of the participating parties, assumptions and risks, contingencies, and performance measurement criteria.
- →Supports programming decisions affecting assigned projects.
- →Oversee projects and requirements supporting strategic and technical planning operations as well as management support provided by state National Guard IT department.
- →Plan work to be accomplished by the ad hoc project teams, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work.
- →Assign work to team members based on positional responsibilities, priorities, difficulty of assignments, and the capabilities of employees.
- →Develop performance standards for subordinates as related to each project, evaluating the work performance and accomplishments of those objectives.
- →Ensure appropriate product-related training and documentation is developed.
- →Analyzes information systems requirements or environment.
- →Integrates the planning, design, implementation, etc., for multiple IM/IT projects of considerable scope and complexity as measured by their program authorizations, diversity, geographical area, management demands, technical intricacies, and various customers.
Requirements
- ✓Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
