About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the Adams County, PA.
What You'll Do
- →Diagnoses and restores serial and IP circuits at the SOC.
- →Uses electronic test equipment to isolate signal degradation, circuit faults, and hardware issues to maintain reliable communications.
- →Monitors LAN/WAN performance using enterprise tools.
- →Installs and configures network hardware, software, and operating systems to ensure routing stability and maximum uptime.
- →Manages rapid circuit rerouting during outages.
- →Coordinates emergency restoration and diagnostics with external technical controls, carriers, and regional control centers.
- →Enforces technical, physical, and COMSEC standards.
- →Performs cryptographic key loading and equipment maintenance in compliance with AR 380-5 and DoD security policies.
- →Resolves complex connectivity issues for mission partners.
- →Documents downtime, maintains outage logs, and drafts trend reports for Battalion leadership and engineers.
