What You'll Do
- →You will assess new technologies to improve network operations and security of network.
- →You will conduct feasibility studies and trade-off analysis.
- →You will develop long-term plans for technology refresh and network upgrades.
- →You will develop long-range plans for network security systems that anticipate, identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks associated with network vulnerabilities.
- →You will represent the organization in department-wide work groups as technical expert on network solutions; responsible for implementing and integrating new IT technologies.
- →You will educate IT professionals and management on emerging technologies for network security and network convergence.
- →You will be responsible for daily operations of enterprise network, firewalls, and Wide Area Network (WAN) connections.
- →You will develop policies and procedures to prevent against unauthorized access to systems, networks and data.
- →You will ensure operational procedures are followed in accordance with Navy security and procedures and leads team members in developing network operating procedures.
- →You will conduct risk and vulnerability assessments of planned and installed information systems to identify vulnerabilities, risks and protection needs.
