About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located with the C4I Systems Directorate, Information Systems Division. What You'll Do
- →Serve as a technical expert for the Joint Interagency Task Force South for all local area network (LAN) telecommunications.
- →Make decisions or recommendations to change, interpret, or develop policies or programs.
- →Develop operating procedures and standardized methods related to equipment operations techniques and maintenance.
- →Identify information systems and services shortfalls, problems, specific issues, and opportunities; recommends solutions and improvements.
- →Plan, organize, and direct studies on communications and advises top-level agency telecommunications and subject-matter managers on applying new developments.
- →Provide guidance to operating-level telecommunications managers on matters such as the application of new technology activity systems.
