About the Position: This position is located at Brooke Army Medical Center at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Cisco Certified Network associate Certification (CCNA) highly desired. Network + Certification highly desired.
What You'll Do
- →Gather data by using a variety of network monitoring tools and diagnostic techniques with using data from network devices and packet captures, to help identify and resolve problems.
- →Configure and optimize VLANs, VPN, VOIP, layer 2/3 LAN technologies.
- →Participate in studies, audits, and continued analysis of IT network traffic conditions.
- →Prepare specifications, technical requirements, and certain documents related to submission of procurement requests.
- →Determine benefits, estimates costs, compares data, and makes recommendations on system changes or upgrades Ensure the VOIP system is configured with proper redundancy to provide functionality during a limited equipment failure.
