You will serve as an INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) in the NCIS. All Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) positions are in the excepted service. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status. This announcement will close once it reaches 50 applicants.
What You'll Do
- →You will use specialized equipment and techniques to catalog, document, extract, collect, package, and preserve digital evidence.
- →You will document original condition of digital and/or associated evidence (e.g., via digital photographs, written reports, etc.), You will prepare digital media for imaging by ensuring data integrity (e.g., write blockers in accordance with standard operating procedures).
- →You will review forensic images and other digital data sources for recovery of potentially relevant information.
