About the Role
You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) in the Information Technology Department ofNAVAL STATION ROTA .
What You'll Do
- →You will interpret, establish, maintain, update, and disseminate polices and procedures to ensure compliance with governing regulations and instructions for the safeguarding and handling of Communications Security (COMSEC) materials.
- →You will plan, design, develop, acquire, documents, tests, implements, integrates, maintains, or modifies systems for resolving problems or accomplishing necessary work processes to effectively accomplish COMSEC program operation.
- →You will coordinate with exercise planners and controlling authorities to designate and call out proper COMSEC keys for joint/combined exercises and operations.
- →You will establish a training program and procedures sufficient to meet regulatory and operational requirements.
- →You will serve as an expert consultant to national level initiatives, will significantly impact how these new systems are employed across the government.
Requirements

- ✓PPP applicants will be placed at the FPL, if determined Well Qualified (WQ).
- ✓To receive priority consideration, the FPL must be the same grade level or equivalent of the retained grade or the grade held immediately prior to separation.
- ✓ICTAP Applicants: To be considered well-qualified and exercise selection priority as an ICTAP candidate, displaced Federal employees must satisfy all qualification requirements for the position and receive a rating in the highly qualified category (score 85) or higher.
- ✓ICTAP candidates must provide copies of all of the following documentation at the time of application: 1) agency notice; 2) most recent performance appraisal; and 3) most recent SF-50 or notification of personnel action that includes position, grade level, and duty location.
- ✓Applicants who do not provide this documentation will not receive consideration as an ICTAP candidate.

- ✓MSP/ PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
- ✓You will be required to obtain and maintain an Information Assurance Manager (IAM) Level I certificate within 6 months of employment This position requires that the selectee meet the requirements of the DOD Manual 8570.01, requiring membership in the Department of Navy Information Assurance Workforce.
