About the Position: This position is located Ellsworth Air Force Base, in South Dakota.
What You'll Do
- →Serve as an Information Technology (IT) Specialist and as an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) for a small Military Treatment Facility (MTF).
- →Conduct risk and vulnerability assessments of information systems and implement effective measures to mitigate such risks.
- →Monitor ongoing operation of network systems to ensure hardware and software are functioning and operational standards are met.
- →Control access to prevent unauthorized persons from accessing Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Data.
- →Recommend considerations for use in local standard operating procedures (SOPs) used by the organization.
- →Resolve issues related to system software configurations including the use of public key infrastructure (PKI) and the safeguarding of data.
- →Approving changes to hardware, firmware, software, and documentation throughout the development and operational life cycle of an information system.
