About the Role

This position is located in the eDiscovery group in the Legal Division at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and is responsible for serving as a technical and operational advisor within the eDiscovery Group as well as a consultant on electronic discovery ("eDiscovery") and litigation support issues related to litigation, investigations, trials, regulatory enforcement proceedings, FOIA requests, subpoenas, and other informational requests seeking disclosure of agency information.

What You'll Do

  • Serves as a technical advisor to the Supervisory Counsel, eDiscovery Group, Headquarters Legal Division, on the most efficient use of technology relating to eDiscovery.
  • Provides technical guidance in a variety of specialized areas related to the storage, recovery, collection, preservation, processing, review, analysis and production of electronically stored information.
  • Analyzes and makes recommendations regarding plans for the development, issuance, and implementation of policies that direct the course of eDiscovery support across organizational lines.
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders in reviewing policies and in developing and implementing strategies involving the application of litigation support and eDiscovery technologies.
  • Provide guidance and collaborates with outside litigation support consultants retained to provide technical services to FDIC attorneys during investigations, discovery, trial and regulatory enforcement proceedings..
  • Participate in various aspects of contracting, including the development of selection factors for litigation support contracts, task order development, and performance-based contracting.
  • Provides agency personnel with guidance on the procedures under which the FDIC preserves, collects, reviews, and produces electronically stored information.

  • Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) required.
  • There is no substitution of education for the experience for this position.
